A Dip in the Mediterranean

Kelly and Jonah take a dip in the Mediterranean. You don't see much in this clip but this was the first time Jonah really got in the water at a beach.

Eating Spaghetti with His Hands

Jonah eating spaghetti all my himself - he really enjoyed it as well as the company. He really does well being around older kids. It's easier to let him be more independent.

Flight Connection Entertainment for Toddlers

Here is Jonah's new trick he learned while we waited on our connecting flight.

Jonah's First Trans-Atlantic Flight

Here is Jonah on his first Trans-Atlantic flight. He was well entertained the first couple of hours by the cartoons. Later in the flight, nothing seemed to entertain him and he fought sleep. The lady in front of him was hating us by the end of the flight. Jonah would kick her seat and when we would restrain him he would cry. It's funny how once you have kids you are much more sympathetic to these situations. Sorry lady we did our best. :) The return Trans-Atlantic flight was a bit easier because the flight wasn't full so we had more options.

Jonah Kisses

Last night we had our friends Levent and Vildan over for dinner. Vildan was trying to get Jonah to give her a kiss on the cheek - Jonah finally did and then like everything else he learns to do, once just isn't enough.

Another Haircut

I took Jonah to get his hair cut this morning. We are really busy this week so I thought it would be easier just to go have it done. I'm glad I went; he hated it and freaked out when the electric razor got turned on. Here is his face during the haircut - note the constant scowl in all the pictures.

Toddler Showing Off His Skills

20-month old Jonah is a man of many talents as you can see here - running, jumping, singing, dancing and counting:

Jonah has a couple of harmonicas that he got from his Kindermusik class. He really likes them and actually plays them fairly well. This wasn't one of his better performances but it's hard to catch him playing on camera.

A moment from Thursday night. Note his shirt which says: I do all my own stunts.

A Tired Lap Baby

We flew back from Texas Sunday morning after attending the wedding of some dear friends. We got up at 5 a.m. and then had a hour drive to the airport before turning in a rental car and checking in for our flight. On top of that, we were all very tired from staying up late every night while there. Jonah even missed his nap both Friday and Saturday. He did pretty well on the flight there and back, but it was tiring for us parents to have him moving around on our laps the whole time. We plan for him to have his own seat on our next flight.

Carr-Deggs Wedding

Saturday was Gina and Tyson's Wedding. Here are a few moments from the day. For more photos of the weekend click on the photos link.

Trip to Galveston

We were in Galveston, TX Friday for a friend's wedding. We had some free time before the rehearsal that evening so went down the the beach. Jonah has never been to the beach before. His little feet were wiggling feeling the wet sand and when a wave unexpectedly pushed a couple of inches of water up over his feet he broke into tears. It think because it scared him but also because the water was a little cold. I didn't catch that on video but here is him having fun in his new environment.

After this, we went to the Rain Forest Cafe for lunch. I thought Jonah would love the animatronic animals and all the decoration. Well, turns out we sat in an area where there were about 5 moving monkeys and he was very disconcerted about them. He spent the whole meal hunkered in Kelly's armpit or in one of our laps. After that, we went to the Aquarium and enjoyed a couple of hours there. For more video of the day click on the video link.
