Late Season Whale Watching Tour from St. Anthony, NL

On Thursday morning, we went on a whale watching tour with Northland Discovery Tours from St. Anthony, Newfoundland. Unfortunately, we didn't see any large whales, but we did see some smaller relatives in the form of atlantic white-sided dolphins. Along with the family of 5 or so dolphin, we enjoyed the wave action on the boat (thankfully we didn't get seasick - though other passengers did), seeing the scenic coastline of northern Newfoundland, hearing some interesting stories of polar bear encounters in St. Anthony, and seeing some interesting birds such as the northern gannet. On our next Newfoundland trip, we hope to come earlier in the year to see icebergs as well.
